thistle || rite of the hunt

Thistle didn’t necessarily have to try when it came to hunting, because his bruteness usually did most of the work for him. But when coupled with Talulla for this special rite of passage, he found himself discomforted by the ideas she brought up. The wiliness of a fox matched the capabilities of the Toki he roamed with, and Thistle dreaded his approaching failure. But while traveling, he found himself dwelling on the issue more and more; a test of his intelligence was what was asked of him (or rather, what he was asking of himself)! Although he didn’t think of himself as the best of the rest, he felt proud upon his success. Talulla spent most of his triumph trying to steal it away.
